After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (saws) said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligations shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ’Abd’al Muttalib [the Prophet’s uncle] be waived.

Every right arising out of homicide in pre-islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that i waive is that arising from the murder of Rabiah ibn al Harithibn.

O People, the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calender in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to forbid that which Allah has made permissible. With Allah the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, three of these are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban.

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of that he will be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right, then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste. O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadhan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware: do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur’an and my Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed Your message to Your people."

Since September 11, 2001, the war against terrorism has been waged on two fronts - a military one in Iraq and Afghanistan (look, more terrorists!), and a semantic one between governments, extremists, mainstream Muslims, and the media. The use of language on all sides simultaneously confuses, enlightens, and motivates foot soldiers in the battle. Control of the use of language - particularly the definitions that stick - can either be the key to influencing scores of people or an inconsequential exercise in vanity. In this “war on terror,” it seems that people are as fixated with the terminology as they are with the tactics.

Bush administration officials, while taking care to emphasize that mainstream Muslims do not subscribe to terror, have tended to use terminology that emphasizes religious (as opposed to political) motivations for terrorists. However, mainstream Muslims and other administration critics have countered that this policy empowers those who feel that Islam sanctions violence while dismissing the vast majority of Muslims whose practice of their faith is entirely peaceful. This tug-of-war has gone on ever since.

But last year, the Department of Homeland Security and its secretary, Michael Chertoff, worked on a memorandum that advised US government officials to play down explicit links between Islam and terrorism. The memo, entitled Terminology to Define the Terrorists: Recommendations from American Muslims and leaked late last month, emphasised that “words matter” when it comes to winning the “hearts and minds” of mainstream Muslims needed to combat Muslim extremists from within their ranks.

Among its sensible recommendations were to avoid labelling all Islamic exploitation as “al-Qaeda,” denying terrorists religious legitimacy by stripping them of religious descriptors, and re-casting the “war on terror” as a movement for global security that includes all peace-loving peoples, Muslim or not. The DHS memoradum follows a similar British policy change that called on avoiding “aggressive rhetoric” in order to “avoid implying that specific communities are to blame.”

Central to both these initiatives is an recognition that mainstream (née moderate) Muslims are key to the solution when Islam is used to justify terrorism. For them, there is nothing wrong with describing terrorists in brutally honest terms - murderers and (the preferred term) extremists. But proponents of emphasizing Islamic terminology like to argue that the religious connection is necessary to define the enemy. For these people and their challenge to Islamically-motivated terrorism (rightly or wrongly, there is such a thing), the Islamic aspect is all that matters. In reality, the social and geopolitical causes behind terror supercede any pan-Islamic motivation. Islam, in these cases, is used as a convenient vehicle to drive home a larger point.

Take the word jihad, for example. On the one hand, such terminology is used explicitly by those Muslims who engage in terrorism, from 9/11, 7/7, and beyond. At the same time, mainstream Muslims in domestic anti-extremist movements in Morocco, Turkey, and Pakistan use terms like jihadist because in those Muslim-majority countries, there is a common peaceful understanding of the concept of jihad. Terrorists can derisively be called jihadists without the foreign policy baggage that Western governments would add. Context, here, is everything.

In the West, the common definition used by mainstream Muslims - a “struggle for good” - is mocked by those who only hear directives from shadowy groups targeting Western interests or Muslims with sectarian differences. Muslims should understand that when Islamic terminology is used by those engaging in terrorism, there are good reasons for non-Muslims to be skeptical. Directing a recontextualisation of the words to these critics is one thing. Directing it to the Muslims butchering innocents is another.

What should concern people the most, however, is that this struggle for language between non-Muslims and Muslims, the mainstream and the extremists, has an end game. For critics, control of Islamic terminology is meant to inextricably link “true” Islam to a tendency towards violence and subjugation of non-Muslims. Taken to its logical conclusion, this reasoning can only lead to two courses of action - that over a billion Muslims are forced to recognise this inherent nature in Islam (through hostile persuasion) and reject it or, failing that, purge Islam from non-Muslim societies and perpetually subjugate Muslim societies abroad diplomatically or militarily.

For Muslim extremists who cloak themselves in Islamic terminology, the end game is no better. Mainstream Muslims are told that their understanding of jihad is flawed and that true Muslims should join in the slaughter. Failure to do so renders them suitable for targeting alongside their non-Muslim brethren.

Fortunately, the pragmatic wings of Muslim societies and Western governments are showing no desire to go down these paths. Given these choices, it is not surprising that the proponents of these views have been effectively shut out from both government policy making and from mainstream Muslim circles.

The DHS memo, like the British one before it, shows that both governments are realising that their Muslim populations must be free to prove the bin Ladens, along with their curiously agreeable amen corner of Islam critics, wrong. For them, it is a matter of efficiency. Western governments make awkward and unwilling theologians. It is better for them to define terrorism in universal terms of right and wrong and allow mainstream Muslims to prove that Islam falls on the right side of the equation. In the global struggle over language, religion, and justice, no one else can do it for them.

Islam began when man’s career on earth began—more precisely at the time of man’s creation and his descent. Allah created Adam and Eve and enjoined them to worship Him and live a life of obedience to the Divine Will.

Allah is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe and of human beings. Man must turn to Him for sustenance and guidance. The very word Islam means obedience to God. In this respect, Islam is man’s natural religion—the only natural course is for man to look towards Him for guidance.

The day Adam and Eve were sent down to live on earth, Allah told them that they were His servants and He was their Master and Creator. He told them and mankind that the best course was for them to follow His guidance, to obey His orders and to refrain from what He had forbidden. God said to them that He would be pleased if they obeyed Him and in turn He would reward them. If, however, they did not heed His commands, He would be displeased and would punish them. This was the simple beginning of Islam.

Adam and Eve invited their children to follow the Islamic way of life. They and their children and their later generations followed the teachings of Islam as propounded by Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) for quite a long period of time. It was only later on that certain people began disobeying Allah. Some of them began worshipping other gods of their own making, some of them regarded themselves as gods, while a few others even declared their freedom to do as they pleased–defying God’s orders. This is how kufr (disbelief) came into being. Its essence lies in refusal to worship God–pursuing the path of defiance to the Creator.

When kufr (disbelief) began to increase and multiply it affected the life of society in a number of ways. Exploitation, oppression, viciousness and immorality emerged in different forms. Life became intolerable. Allah then appointed some righteous people to preach the Message of Truth among the wrongdoers, invite them to the Right Path and convert them to God-fearing people–worshipping and obeying God Alone. In short, they were asked to perform a mission–to make people righteous and true Muslims. These noble people entrusted with this great mission were called Prophets or Messengers of Allah. Allah sent these Prophets to different nations and countries. All of them were honest, truthful, and people of noble character. All of them preached the same religion–Islam. To mention a few names–Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. All of them were the Prophets of God and thousands of them were, over the centuries, sent into the world to guide mankind.

In the history of the last few thousand years, one can see the recurrent arrival of Prophets whenever kufr(disbelief) increased and assumed menacing proportions. The prophets tried to stop the tide of disbelief and invited people towards Islam. Some people adopted the Islamic way of life, but others rejected it. The people who followed the Prophets became Muslims and, after learning higher ethical and moral disciplines from them, began to preach and spread nobility and goodness. Having forgotten the teachings of Islam, later generations of Muslims themselves gradually sank into disbelief. Whenever such a situation arose, God sent a Prophet or Messenger to revive Islam. This continual arrival of Messengers of God continued for thousands of years. In the course of those long years, Islam was revived by those Prophets, who restated the Message forgotten by their people. At long last God sent the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who revived Islam in such an outstanding fashion that it still exists today and will continue to exist (God willing), till eternity.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in 571 C.E. in the now famous city of Arabia called Makkah. Islam had no following in Arabia at that time nor did it have any following anywhere else in the world. Although the traces of teachings of the earlier Prophets could be found among a few pious people who tried to worship one and only one God and live a life of obedience to Him, the true religion of God was lost in a maze of paganism and pantheism. The pure worship of God, unadulterated by shirk (worship of false gods), was nowhere to be found. Moral values had lost their grip and people were indulging in all sorts of lax behavior and wickedness. Such was the situation in Arabia as also in the whole world at the close of the sixth century when God decided to send the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as His last Messenger. He spent forty years of his life as a patient observer in the city of Makkah. Everyone respected him for his noble qualities of head and heart. But they were not aware that this man was destined to become the world’s greatest leader.

During the early years of his life, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) felt very much grieved to see the gross immorality of the world of his time. There was exploitation of man by man. There was injustice and tyranny. He was grieved and anxious, but was somewhat silent as he, too, was unable to devise a remedy for the ailing humanity of the day. At long last, God chose him as His Messenger. When he attained the age of forty, God entrusted him with the Mission of spreading Islam, the true religion of God, the religion of peace and justice, by means of the Revelations which we now know as the Quran.

Having been appointed as the Messenger of God, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) started to communicate God’s Message to his people in Makkah. He began by inviting them to worship none but God–their sole Creator and Master. People in general opposed him and tried to prevent him from spreading Islam. He, however, continued his work with unflinching determination and dedication. As a result, many honest people gathered round him. They became his staunch supporters. The teachings of the Messenger of God spread slowly but surely outside his native Makkah to Arabia at large. Those who had a reputation for honesty and moral excellence began to accept the Faith, while opposition to them came from many ignorant people and vicious quarters. This continued for thirteen years. There was a gradual breaking of new ground. Islam was gaining a following all over Arabia. This is one side of the story. On the other hand, the defenders of the old order, people with vested interests and steeped in ignorant customs were hardening their opposition to Islam. Whenever new converts to Islam were presented, they were abused, humiliated, beaten, tortured, expelled and even put to death. Nevertheless, they remained firm and steadfast. At last the Makkah elders devised a plot to assassinate the Messenger of God in order to nip the Islamic movement in the bud. When affairs reached that pitiful state, God ordered His Messenger to leave Makkah and migrate to Madinah.

Having learned that the Prophet was planning to migrate from Makkah, its leaders expedited their plans to murder him on his journey outward. However, their disgraceful conspiracy could not succeed. The Prophet arrived at Madinah safe and sound. This is the most famous migration (hijrah) in the history of Islam. The Muslim calendar begins from that day, the years being numbered "After Hijrah" (A.H.).

Madinah, a city some 450 kilometers from Makkah, was growing as a centre for Islam. A number of people had already been converted to the new faith. Islamic teachings were winning new supporters every day. Leaders of the two major tribes of Madinah had accepted Islam and were ready to sacrifice their lives and property for the cause of Islam. At this point, the Prophet started planning to move to Madinah.

As soon as the Prophet settled in Madinah, the new Muslims started to flock into the city from the four corners of Arabia. This further strengthened the new centre. Islam was no longer a persecuted religion; it was able to obtain a firm foothold and was provided with the historic opportunity to establish an Islamic State and society. This constitutes the most important development of the post-Hijrah period. The leaders of Makkah, the defenders of the old order, did not miss the significance of this change. They realised that a new model was being set up, which would be a challenge to the way they were running their society. This caused great anxiety amongst them. They decided to crush this rising force while it was still in its infancy. For they believed that it would be easy to crush the Muslims while they were few and far between and lacked a centralized power. Now things were changing. Muslims were concentrating at one place and organizing a new society with its own government. The prospects of annihilating such a state, once it was firmly entrenched, looked remote to them. The unbelievers feared that if the Muslims were allowed to gain momentum they would become a great power. Consequently they hurried to band themselves together with a view to eradicating the embryonic Islamic government at Madinah. The Makkah leaders lost no time in issuing a clarion call to their kith and kin and to all supporters of the old order in neighboring towns and all over Arabia to rally round them to form a force which could crush the Muslims. They formed a band of cavalry which invaded Madinah and its environs time and again with all their military might. They, however, could not defeat the Prophet and his loyal supporters. In spite of all efforts on the part of the unbelievers, Islam continued to spread in Arabia. The good, honest folk continued to forsake kufr (disbelief) and come into the fold of Islam.

Eventually, Islam gained a crowning success when the Prophet entered victoriously into Makkah–once the stronghold of kufr. This all happened within eight years of the establishment of the Islamic State of Madinah. No sooner had Makkah submitted to the Islamic forces than the remaining hostile groups of unbelievers of Arabia began to surrender. Within the next year, the whole of Arabia accepted Islam and the Muslims established a powerful government over an area consisting of some twelve hundred thousand square miles.

Arabia had the most singular government of the time, based as it was on the principle of the sovereignty of God and the vicegerency (Khilafah) of man. The law of the land was Islamic. The administration of the state lay in the hands of the honest and pious people. The country had no trace of violence, oppression, injustice or immorality. Peace, justice, truth and honesty reigned supreme everywhere. Many of the people of the country had come to possess the highest moral attributes because they were honest in worshipping God and obeying Him.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) changed the character of Arabian life in a short period of only twenty-three years. He instilled in the people a spirit that helped to serve the cause of Islam. They set out with the great mission of spreading Islam throughout the whole world. The Prophet passed away at the age of sixty-three, after completing the greatest mission of all time.

The Companions of the Prophet took up the mission of the Prophet after his death. They traveled to distant lands to spread the Islamic teachings. They succeeded wherever they went. Obstacles that stood in their way in spreading Islam were all surmounted. Islam became so strong in such a short while that no one dared try to stop its growth. The Muslims were spread out from India to Spain. They changed the face of the globe. The entire population of the countries they visited were so much impressed by their good example and noble behavior that they began to enter quickly into the fold of Islam. Wherever the Muslims went, they took their highest moral attributes with them–so much so that immorality and injustice dissolved in their presence. They transformed Godless people into God-conscious people and gave them the Light of Knowledge and strength of character. They changed their way of life so that virtue and goodness could prevail. The entire social climate was reformed and remoulded. The hands of the oppressors were held and a reign of justice and fair play established. This was the greatest achievement in the history of mankind.

The Companions of the Prophet rendered yet another great service to mankind. This consisted in memorising the Quran and preserving it in its original form as it was revealed to the Prophet. They wrote down the Quran word for word and did not miss even a mark in its Arabic orthography. Today, we are most fortunate in having the Quran exactly as it was revealed to the Prophet, written and read in the same language and in the same diction as it was written and read in the time of the Prophet–about 1,400 years ago.

Another important aspect of their work was to preserve and communicate to posterity the most detailed account of the Prophet’s life, speeches, instructions, commands, morals and behaviour. These accounts by the Prophet’s Companions are grouped together under the all-embracing title of the Sunnah of Hadith (Traditions of the Prophet). This is the greatest record ever preserved about the life and activities of a man and is a great blessing to every generation. For even after a lapse of 1,400 years after the Prophet’s death, people can still see and hear his teachings as the Companions of the Prophet saw and heard them during his lifetime. Now anybody can approach hadith literature and find out the Islamic point of view on any subject. He can learn how to become obedient to God and what type of man is liked by God.

The Quran and the Hadith are things of greatest importance to a Muslim. With their preservation and security (God has promised to secure and preserve them), Islam is protected for all time to come. In the days before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islam was forgotten again and again after being revived, owing to lack of the necessary care regarding the preservation and security of the earlier Revealed Books and the details of the lives of their Prophets. This was the reason why, after every Prophet, generations following forgot the real teachings and drifted towards a life devoid of good morals and norms of behaviour. But Islam, as revived by the Prophet Muhammad, is bound to last for ever because the Book of God and the traditions of the Prophet are both secure and preserved in their original purity.

The Islamic way of life can be revived and reconstructed again and again with the help of the Quran and the traditions if ever, God forbid, the freshness of its true spirit wanes. The world no longer requires any new Prophet to revive Islam to its pristine glory. It is enough to have among us the learned people who know the Quran and the traditions of the Prophet and who are able to apply their teachings to their own lives and stimulate others to adopt and apply them in their lives as well. This is how the stream of Islam will continue to flow, refreshing the eternal thirst of mankind.

Di hari Kartini, setiap tahun dirayakan. Antara konde dan kebaya adalah pilihan sebagai pakaian seorang Kartini. Padahal esensi dari perjuangan seorang Kartini bukan terletak di konde dan kebayanya. Namun pada tingkat polah pikir dalam mengatasi masalah kewanitaan. Kartini merupakan sosok besar yang harus dipertahankan realitas dari watak seorang wanita di Indonesia. Perasaan lembut, patuh, berkasih sayang serta menjadi panutan bagi wanita-wanita yang lain.

Ada kesan setiap hari Kartini, semua media menciptakan sebuah ilustrasi-ilustrasi sendiri tentang sosok Kartini ini. Tapi satu yang tidak dapat dielakkan adalah, Kartini merupakan sosok seorang wanita yang mampu menjadi pelopor pembaruan tradisi yang tidak memihak keadilan dalam penyesuaian antara wanita dan laki-laki. Tetapi Kartini bukan seorang Feminimisme, yang dengan seenaknya mengenyahkan campur-tangan seorang wanita. Bukan, Kartini bukan wanita seperti itu!

Kartini adalah wanita yang mampu mempertahankan keutuhan keluarganya, tetapi Kartini juga mampu menjadikan wanita lain mendapatkan kesetaraan dalam menerima ilmu pengetahuan yang pada dasarnya setiap manusia boleh memperolehnya. Kartini bukanlah wanita yang congkak, yang menyatakan bahwa dirinya adalah individu sejati seorang wanita tanpa keberpihakan seorang pria. Bukan, bahkan suami Kartini yang notabenenya adalah seorang pembesar, menyatakan sangat beruntung dengan menjadikan Kartini sebagai istri ke tiganya. Kartini merupakan sosok yang bisa menjadi panutan bagi setiap wanita di jamannya. Rasa keibuan, tanggung-jawab, menyayangi keluarga serta menjadi wanita yang mampu memberikan kontribusi kepada wanita yang lain. Merupakan salah satu cirri wanita yang sangat mengagumkan.

Namun dijaman sekarang, emansipasi yang dikatakan wanita dengan merujuk Kartini menjadi terlihat menyimpang. Wanita yang bekerja (berkarier) dengan melupakan keluarga terutama anak-anaknya, hingga terbangkalai merupakan penyimpangan besar yang sangat dibenci oleh Kartini. Kesetaraan “gender” yang kebablasan, hingga merasa bangga dengan sosok kewanitaannya, adalah sebuah hal yang sangat dihindari oleh Kartini. Mereka mengatakan “Kami adalah Kartini-Kartini masa kini” padahal Kartini sendiri sangat tidak menyetujui apa yang sedang mereka lakukan!

Kartini adalah sosok wanita yang ideal, bagaikan sosok Khadijah yang selalu mengayomi. Mempunyai kemerdekaan dalam berfikir, namun menghindari kebablasan dalam berfikir. Kartini adalah sosok ibu, yang dapat menyayangi anak-anaknya dengan baik. Tidaklah seorang wanita berhasil karena dia menduduki jabatan disebuah perusahaan ataupun ditempat kerja yang lain. Tetapi menurut Kartini, wanita adalah sosok yang dapat menjadi penerang ketika cahaya suami dan anak-anaknya meredup. Menjadi penyejuk jiwa bagi keluarganya. Yah, inilah sosok Kartini yang sesungguhnya. Yang sangat bijak dalam memahami segala sesuatu yang ada. Yang sangat mahir dalam memberdayakan manusia lainnya. Bukan pembuat bingung wanita-wanita yang lain dengan hasil pikiran yang kebablasan. Inilah sosok Kartini!

Mulai dari Pak Amien Rais, ketika didukung oleh PKS dan kalah dalam Pipres 2004 yang lalu. Pernyataan Pak Amien Rais langsung menggaung. Bahwa PKS tidak maksimal mendukungnya, bahwa PKS mendukung calon lain selain dirinya. Sampai-sampai fitnah-fitnah tentang PKS merebut aset-aset Muhammadiyah. Padahal jelas loh, kalau memang ada kader PKS merebut aset-aset Muhammadiyah, kader tersebut bisa dilaporkan ke DPP PKS. Dan Ustad Tifatul sendiri sudah menyatakan, jika ada kader PKS merebut aset-aset ormas manapun, silakan dilaporkan ke DPP PKS, atau kalau mau langsung bisa di perkarakan di pengadilan.

Tetapi buktinya sampai sekarang juga nggak ada ormas manapun yang melapor ke DPP PKS ataupun memperkarakan di pengadilan. Jadi jelas ini fitnah! Jika Pak Amien Rais menyebutkan langsung “PKS” saat ceramah di Banyuwangi pasti langsung ditabayunin oleh pembesar-pembesar PKS. Cuman sayang, Pak Amien sendiri hanya menyebut “Partai Dakwah” jadi mungkin Pak Amien takut juga yah kalau seandainya di somasi. Tetapi sebenarnya Pak Amien nggak usah takut, karena PKS sendiri tidak akan memperkarakan secara hukum seorang Saudara Islam. Jika memang tidak benar-benar kebablasan!

Nah, setelah itu Pak Soetrisno Bachir menyatakan PKS bukan apa-apa! Tapi sebenarnya saya lebih tertarik membaca artikelnya Dahlan Iskan (owner Jawa pos) yang menyatakan “Bukan orang yang berakal sehat jika PKS bukan musuh utama semua partai”. Tulisan artikel Dahlan Iskan lebih membuat akal sehat saya terbuka sehingga menulis “Musuh itu bernama PKS!”

Dari pernyataan Pak Soetrisno Bachir ini lucu. Jika benar-benar Dede Yusuf itu yang menjadi pablik figurnya, lalu kenapa dahulu Soetrisno Bachir menyatakan “Dede Yusuf hanya mendongkrak suara saja” jadi benar-benar lucu. Plin-plan kalau membuat keputusan. Jika dulu Pak Amien Rais “ngambek” dengan PKS, maka sekarang Pak Seoetrisno Bachir “sok” merasa besar ketimbang PKS. Kalau jumlah dewannya PKS memang kalah dengan PAN, tapi Jumlah suaranya masih banyakan PKS loh! Dan lihat bagaimana Kader PAN tidak seluruhnya mendukung Dede Yusuf untuk menjadi seorang Bacawagub. Stutment-stutment miring di tujukan kepada Dede Yusuf. Bahkan Kader PAN juga ada yang memilih membela calon lain ketimbang pilihan Ketuanya sendiri. Padahal sangat lucu sekali, jika sebuah Partai yang dipimpin tersebut saling mempunyai jalan sendiri-sendiri. Jelas sekali, arah kedepannya pasti kacau!

Kami ini keluarga Muhammadiyah, saya sendiri dulu tergabung di Tapak Suci. Nah kalau ada kampanye, Tapak Suci diturunkan untuk menjadi BM (Barisan Muda) PAN atau Hisbullah dari PBB. Dan selama di Tapak Suci, saya belum pernah mendengar anak-anak Tapak Suci diterjunkan untuk menjadi Kepanduan dari PKS. Nah ini yang memanfaatkan aset ormas sebenarnya siapa yah?

Saya sendiri sangat menyayangkan pihak Muhammadiyah, hingga melarang kader-kadernya untuk terjun di “partai dakwah”. Hingga berbagai ancaman dilontarkan, bahkan salah satu guru saya tidak di gaji karena pernah mencalonkan diri menjadi Caleg dari PKS. Bahkan orang yang kami anggap Ustad, harus menutup pintunya ketika kami mau bersilahturahim. Karena takut ketahuan kader PKS datang kerumahnya. Masya Allah! Tapi sebenarnya masih banyak juga kok kader PKS yang tetap berada di Muhammadiyah. Bahkan ada seorang dokter dari RS Muhammadiyah pernah menyatakan pada saya “Sebenarnya kami dokter-dokter pernah di Briefing langsung oleh pusat Muhammadiyah. Untuk berhati-hati dan mewaspadai virus tarbiyah. Padahal semua dokter yang ada disitu sudah positive terjangkit virus Tarbiyah semua!”

Namun saya masih tetap menganggap Muhammadiyah adalah rumah yang plural, yang dapat menampung semua partai. Walaupun memang ada orang-orang Muhammadiyah yang kurang dewasa mensingkapi pluralitas ini. Dan ngaji saya tetap lebih sering di Muhammadiyah, walaupun kadang juga sering di Hizb”Salafi”. Karena saya menganggap umat Islam itu bersaudara, tidak terkotak-kotakkan karena Tandzhim ataupun organisasi dan partai. Umat Islam harus bersatu, walaupun ada beberapa umat Islam yang merasa bangga dengan dirinya sendiri maupun partai dan organisasinya. Wallahu’alam.

Tulisan yang berhubungan dengan ini juga ada disini

Ketika jalan dakwah mulai mendaki dijalan yang terjal dan berpeluang jatuh kedalam jurang yang curam. Tetapi dakwah tidak boleh takut hanya karena akan jatuh. Tetapi dakwah ini akan terus berkembang, melampaui batas akhir yang akan ditentukan oleh Allah.

Sudah saya tulis dalam artikel yang lalu (Baca disini). Bahwa ini bukan pertarungan kalah dan menang. Tetapi ini pertarungan menuju realitas dalam menagakkan keadilan dan kesejahteraan. Semua ini adalah tuntutan dalam dakwah untuk menjadi lebih bergema lagi. Lokomotif-lokomotif dakwah dalam partai adalah keniscayaan dalam meraih sebuah kejayaan. Kita tidak lagi bermimpi tentang kejayaan, tetapi kita kini mewujudkan mimpi-mimpi itu. Kejayaan Islam tidak hanya menjadi slogan, atau hanya berada pada resistensi suatu golongan. Tetapi kejayaan Islam merupakan lambang dari utuhnya umat muslim dalam bergerak dalam rombongan dakwah. Dakwah tidak bisa diusung dengan segolongan jamaah saja, dakwah harus diusung dari segala elemen jamaah-jamaah umat Islam. Tetapi, jamaah-jamaah itu adalah jamaah yang teratur dan konsisten dalam berjuang. Karena kalau tidak, maka jamaah-jamaah itu hanya bagaikan buih!

Sudah sunnatullah, bahwa kebenaran itu akan dibenturkan dengan kebathilan. Karena itu, orang-orang yang benar akan menjadi musuh utama para pejuang kebathilan. Maka sudah seharusnya, kita mulai sekarang bersiap diri. Para pejuang-pejuang kebenaran harus bersiap diri menghadapi kebathilan yang akan menjadi musuh bersama umat Islam. Bersatunya umat Islam adalah manakalah sudah terhapuskannya kepentingan-kepentingan kelompoknya, menghapuskan kebanggaan-kebanggaan jamaahnya dan menghilangkan kesombongan-kesombongan para penguasanya.

Seperti yang diungkapkan salah satu tokoh utama “Partai Moncong” yang mengatakan “Hati-hatilah terhadap PK (Partai Keadilan). Karena mereka akan menjadi musuh utama partai kita. Karena dibalik massanya yang tidak diketahui asalnya, dan mereka memasuki sepuluh besar partai di Indonesia. Kalau PAN dengan Muhammadiyahnya, kalau PKB dengan NUnya, dan kalau PBB seta PPP dengan keduanya (NU dan Muhammadiyah). Lalu siapakah PK itu? Hingga mereka meraih massa yang hampir-hampir menyamai PBB. Jadi kita harus berhati-hati!”

Dan itu terbukti pada tahun 2004 sampai sekarang dan yang akan datang. PKS kini menjadi lokomotif dakwah yang ekspress. Yang menghentakkan para nasionalis sekuler. Yang mereka menjadi terheran-heran dengan semangat dakwah dalam jihadus Syiasyah!

Bersiap-siaplah wahai para kader-kader dakwah. Karena pertarungan besar akan segera engkau temui. Jangan anggap kemenanganmu sekarang menjadikan engkau lemah dan akhirnya melenekan dalam latihan-latihanmu. Kuatkan semangatmu, asah lagi fisik dan pikiranmu, dan kuatkan lagi keistiqomahanmu. Setelah itu bersiaplah, peperangan besar akan segera engkau temui. Engkau hanya tinggal memilih, menjadi orang-orang yang lari dari medan perang dan akan menjadi orang-orang yang dibenci Allah, atau menjadi mujahid-mujahid yang sudah engkau persiapkan kesyahidanmu. BERSIAPLAH!

Tapi rencana pembatalan menggugat Slank oleh DPR merupakan langkah yang tepat. Karena semua karya dari para seniman musik kita hanya aspirasi dari ketidak harmonisan DPR dalam pengambilan keputusan. Sampai-sampai lihat aja ada anggota DPR yang ketangkep semalam, gara-gara diduga korupsi. Yah emang nggak tanggung-tanggung sampai 4 miliar (Indopos). Walah jumlah 4 miliar kalau dibelikan kerupuk dan di sejajarkan satu persatu insya Allah bisa jadi antara Surabaya sampai Jakarta tuh! Hehehehe. Al Amin, aduh namanya! Beliau salah satu dari Punggawa Partai Persatuan yang notabene kadernya banyak yang Muslim. Masa kayak gitu, Islam jadi sangat tercoreng sekali! Tidak hanya film Fitna yang benar-benar jadi Fitnah, tetapi korupsi yang diduga Al Amin ini bisa juga jadi sumber Fitnah untuk umat Islam.

Pengalaman saya saat berada di sebuah kantor Komisi di salah satu DPRD, memang sangat mengherankan. Ada anggota DPRD yang sukanya joget2an. Malah ada yang lebih memprihatinkan. Saat saya akan mengetik sebuah website di computer komisi tersebut. Ketika saya mengetik salah satu huruf di kotak “address”nya, langsung muncul sederetan “address” situs porno dibawahnya. Waduh Kacau! Sebenarnya pengen ngeklik juga sih, tapi saya malu dan takut. Ada malaikat disamping kiri dan kanan yang melihat saya. Nanti bisa-bisa saya di tempeleng sama malaikat “CPLAAAAK. LIHAT APA AJA KAMU” hihihihi. Masa jadi wakil rakyat kok yah gitu. Tapi mungkin karena yang memilihnya juga gitu kali yah!? Hehehe.

Waduh, sudah saatnya kita mencari figur umat Islam yang tsiqoh (terpercaya) dalam menegakkan Keadilan dan Kesejahteraan Umat. Bukan hanya untuk umat Islam saja, tetapi untuk seluruh Umat meskipun selain umat Islam. Karena jelas, Islam mengajarkan Keadilan ditegakkan tanpa pandang bulu, entah itu Islam atau non Islam. Jika tidak berbuat Adil maka harus di SIKAT! Karena jelas sekali bahwa keadilan itu adalah lebih dekat dengan ketaqwaan.

Yah semoga saja, Allah memberikan jalan yang terang dalam perjuangan. Memberikan kemudahan dalam keistiqomahan. Dan memberikan kekuatan dalam segala cobaan.

Takut anak banyak, karena takut nanti tidak bisa memberika nafkah kepada mereka semua. Sungguh, ibu Halimah telah menjadikan firman Allah benar-benar nyata untuk ukuran istri seorang tukang becak. Apakah kita tahu, siapa yang memberi rezeki anak-anak ibu Halimah? Jangan bilang Bapak Mas’ud (suami Ibu Halimah) yang memberikan nafkah dengan sekedar mengendalikan becaknya! Tetapi sungguh semua itu karena Allah. Sesungguhnya “Makanan itu dari sisi Allah.” Sesungguhnya Allah memberi rezeki kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya tanpa hisab.”

Jadi ketika kita takut akan mempunyai anak banyak karena takut pintu rezeki akan berkurang. Itu sangat salah besar! Karena setiap mahluk yang dilahirkan ke bumi telah ada jatah dari setiap rezeki yang akan diberikan oleh Allah. Mari bacalah hadits Rasulullah “Ma’qil bin Yasar ra telah berkata: Ada seorang lelaki datang kepada Rasulullah saw, seraya berkata: “Ya Rasulullah, aku mencintai seorang wanita berdarah biru (berketurunan tinggi) lagi kaya, hanya saja dia mandul. Bolehkah aku mengawininya?” Maka Rasulullah pun melarangnya. Kemudian datang blagi seorang lelaki lain (yang kedua), mengajukan pertanyaan serupa. Lalu datang lagi lelaki lain (yang ketiga), mengajukan pertanyaan serupa. Maka kemudian Rasulullah saw bersabda: “Niikahilah wanita yang keibuan dan banyak anak (kuat bersanggama). Sebab dengan anak turunmu kelak (pada hari kiamat) aku akan berlomba banyak- banyakan umat.” (HR Abu Dawud dan Hakim).”

Sungguh kenapa kita takut sekali dengan anak yang banyak sedangkan “Katakanlah: “Siapakah yang memberi rezki kepadamu dari langit dan bumi, atau siapakah yang kuasa (menciptakan) pendengaran dan penglihatan, dan siapakah yang mengeluarkan yang hidup dari yang mati dan mengeluarkan yang mati dari yang hidup[689] dan siapakah yang mengatur segala urusan?” Maka mereka akan menjawab: “Allah.” Maka katakanlah “Mangapa kamu tidak bertakwa kepada-Nya)?” Jadi sangat jelas. Telah ada contoh yang jelas dari Ibu Halimah dan Bapak Mas’ud tentang rezeki dari setiap mahluk yang diberikan kepada Allah. Karena sesungguhnya Allah telah menjamin setiap mahluk dari setiap rezekinya masing-masing.
